The skin in the current environment from the point of view of dermatology

The skin acts permanently as the main barrier between the body and the environment. Beyond classical solar radiation, everyday environmental factors such as visible light, especially blue light, infrared radiation, environmental pollution, temperature and humidity variations and stress directly influence barrier function, inflammatory balance and skin aging processes. From a dermatological perspective, understanding these mechanisms is key to a preventive approach to skin care, integrating strategies for protection, repair and maintenance of skin balance in the long term.
