What are the Epicutaneous Tests?
The study is performed in three visits to the dermatological office:
- First visit (Monday): small patches with different allergens are placed on the back. These remain attached for 48 hours.
- Second visit (Thursday): the first reading is performed, observing if there is any initial reaction.
- Third visit (following Monday): late reactions are evaluated and a personalized diagnostic report is issued, together with treatment and avoidance measures.
During the process, it is important not to get the area wet, manipulate the patches or expose yourself to heat or direct sunlight.
